التقى المدير العام لأمن وشرطة ساحل حضرموت، العميد مطيع سعيد المنهالي، اليوم بإدارة الأمن العام بالمكلا، قسم الحماية باللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر الدولي، لمناقشة أوجه الشراكة بين الأمن العام والصليب الأحمر وسبل تعزيزها في عدد من المجالات.
واستمع العميد المنهالي، من نائبة منسقة الحماية بالصليب الأحمر السيدة مارليز أكيرمان، والمنسق الميداني للجنة بمحافظات أبين وشبوة وحضرموت الأستاذ محمد مهدي، إلى شرح مفصّل للتعريف بقسم الحماية واختصاصاته، إلى جانب استعراض أبرز التدخلات الإنسانية للصليب الأحمر في المحافظة، ودعمه لعدد من المجالات متمثلة في الأمن الغذائي والحماية.
وأكد العميد المنهالي اهتمام إدارة الأمن بتعزيز الشراكة مع الصليب الأحمر والمنظمات الدولية بما يخدم الجانب الأمني وتحسين دوره للارتقاء بمستوى أدائه، مشيرًا إلى استعداد إدارة الأمن العام لتسهيل مهام اللجنة في أي نزولات ميدانية لها، وتذليل أية صعوبات تعترض سير عملها في مختلف مدن ومديريات الساحل.
وشدّد العميد المنهالي على ضرورة الاهتمام بالإصلاحية المركزية بالمكلا، وتركيز الجهود وحشدها لتوفير الدعم والاحتياجات اللازمة لها، وضرورة إقامة دورات للكادر الوظيفي بالأمن العام بما يمكنهم من تنمية مهاراتهم وتعزيز قدراتهم في الميدان العملي.

Brigadier General Al-Menhali Meets with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Discusses Several Issues to Strengthen Joint Action
Al-Mukalla – October 19, 2025 – Moral Guidance and Public Relations
The Director-General of Hadramaut Coast Security and Police, Brigadier General Matia Saeed Al-Menhali, met today with the Protection Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Public Security Department in Al-Mukalla. The meeting discussed aspects of the partnership between the ICRC and the Public Security Department and ways to strengthen it in several areas.
Brigadier General Al-Menhali listened to a detailed explanation from the ICRC’s Deputy Protection Coordinator, Ms. Marlies Ackermann, and the ICRC’s Field Coordinator in the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramaut, Mr. Mohammed Mahdi, about the Protection Department and its responsibilities. They also reviewed the ICRC’s most prominent humanitarian interventions in the governorate and its support in several areas, including food security and protection.
Brigadier General Al-Menhali emphasized the Security Department’s interest in strengthening its partnership with the Red Cross and international organizations to serve security and enhance its role to improve performance. He also noted the Public Security Department’s readiness to facilitate the committee’s work during any field visits and to overcome any difficulties that hinder its work in various coastal cities and districts.
Brigadier General Al-Menhali emphasized the need to prioritize the Central Correctional Facility in Mukalla, focusing efforts and mobilizing resources to provide it with the necessary support and requirements. He also emphasized the need to hold training courses for Public Security personnel to enable them to develop their skills and enhance their capabilities in the field.
The meeting was attended by Captain Abdullah Baqrawan, Deputy Director of Command and Control at Public Security.
